As Beyonce’s highly anticipated project, “Black Is King” arrives (on Disney+), collaborators are about to get a fat check. One of the latter is our very own Wizkid who was featured on the biggest song on the album “Brow Skin Girl” along side Saint John.
He reminded Disney his royalties might be running to billions in naira according to him. In a tweet early this morning, Wizkid informed his fans about the pay check he is about to receive from the entertain conglomerate.
Deemed “a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience” in a press release, Black Is King includes a cast of notable and familiar faces, such Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Rowland, Pharrell Williams and JAY-Z, and moves across the world — New York, Los Angeles, South Africa, West Africa, London and Belgium — to capture the performances of actors and dancers as they appear in varied tableaus.
If it is true, Disney owe Wizkid $100 million that is albout 460 billion naira.
