Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva has said that Nigeria is interested in finding ways to maximize gas potential between Nigeria and the Republic of India in order to achieve a mutually beneficial situation between both countries.
Sylva made the disclosure during a courtesy visit by the High Commissioner of India to Nigeria, His Excellency Abhay Thakur in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said ‘Nigeria gives a lot of importance to the relationship between both countries’.
‘the President is particular about maximizing gas potential between both countries in order to look at how both countries can have
a win-win situation.
Mr Thakur commended the Honourable Minister’s efforts so far in expanding the oil and gas industry while reiterating that India was one of Nigeria’s biggest partners in Africa.
‘India is one of Nigeria’s largest trading partners in Africa. We are two dynamic growing countries’.
‘We don’t have language barrier which is a huge advantage for both our countries’.
